haha...I know I give everybody shit for me bein a yanks fan so I am more than happy to take the beatin this time graemlins/fight.gif , but just remember the Yanks didn't lose to the Twins...I'm kinda glad in a way they lost cuz maybe the Yanks can get some fresh faces that aren't over 35 now, I wouldn't mind rebuilding if it means we can have a young sucessful team (like the Twins) for many years to come rather than picking up free agents when a hole needs to be filled. I give props to the Twins and their fans!
I'm not a bandwagon Twins fan, but since my Yanks are gone I need to cheer for somebody in the American league so it might as well be the Twins...I want the Twins and Giants (my second favorite team!)

i agree with captain just cause the yankees lost doesn't mean they "suck" what sucks is that when the twins are getting killed day in and day out their "fans" want nothing to do with them, but then its like what the twins are winning...lets jump on the band wagon, 26 world championships to the twins 2 plus as i recall 6-0 against the twins....hmmmmm sounds like you better re do your math there. my teams have always been the Twins,Red Sox and Cubs and been a Cards fan off and on over the years...i aint bandwagon nuthin...
i give mike due cuz hes always been a yanks fans even when Kevin Mass was there star player...lol...
but i give the yanks there due how many teams can say they went to the playoffs and say that they are going to a rebuilding year, for most teams that would be a major improvement.


I think the Twins and Giants would be a great series. Barry Bonds at the dome :eek: DAMN! I would have to try to get tickets for that one.

And Old School Yankee teams rock (20'-60's) I loved those squad's...and Mantle is my favorite of all time! And cliff notes is right about the MN fans being bandwagoners...cuz yankees fans aint! Games in yankee stadium r SO dope!! Even if its just a regular game...and it aint a playoff game...those fans love that team! Unlike some of the ppl at the dome...that just sit there...and thats it! I say give those seats 2 some fans that will actually make noise...and love being there! But whoever it is that will b in attentence 4 this series with the Angels...make some damn noise!!! Break that fuckin thing that messures sound...lol

what pisses me off about sports fans and writers in this state is all the attention the vikings get, when they havent done shit since the 70's.
Ya right now there is alot of bandwagoning going on with the Twins and there fans right now. I never saw 59,000 at a regular game? Granted it is the playoffs but shit you can at least get half of that during the reg season. Its not like the tickets are expensive either, its the cheapest one in town. I was broke all summer and still went to 5 games. This is how i see it right now, since the vikings blow,everyone is jumping on the twins and that includes the newspapers who every weekend dedicate 5 + pages to the vikings.
But I will say one thing, Gopher sports have always had nice crowds and faithfull followers.
Basketball and Hockey games are always sold out or close to it. Football, well thats something else, but they are 6-1 right now so it will be intresting how that ends up. And seems like the Wild following is strong. T-Wolves is like the Twins I think, when they are playing good everyone will claim they are fans. Lynx is garbage, contract that team!!!
But thats MN for ya fairweather fans and newscasters.

Playoff games are WAY more exciting than regular season games, with out doubt. And every game that I went to this year they had a lot of fan support, their attendance was great this year.

Either way though, if the Twins have 300,000 fans, they all want to catch one of the few home games in the post season. There are so many games during the regular season, you can't expect it to be sold out all the time.

Hey, at least it's not like the A's, they had less than 100,000 total for all three home games in the series. That's BAD!

Emily is right, I'd much rather put down money on a playoff game than a regular season game at the dome...I think that has a lot to do with it, but I don't think there are as many bandwagon fans as you guys may think or make it look to be. I think the dome has something to do with it and I think knowing if you show up to a game and your money is going to POlfuck (aka Pohlad) then I wouldn't want to go either, I have seen alot of Twins hats and clothes being worn even when they sucked, so I dont think this is a bandwagon deal...
