Promising to "build a brighter Minnesota," Republican Norm Coleman today claimed victory in his U.S. Senate race, hours after an emotional and gracious Walter Mondale conceded defeat.
Gov.-elect Tim Pawlenty enjoyed a friendly welcome to his new office today from the man he often sparred with while a legislator, Gov. Jesse Ventura. Pawlenty prevailed in the three-way race for governor on Tuesday.

seems to me we all had jobs and money in the bank BEFORE Bush stepped in and now everything has changed...And I remember a democrat fixing the shit Bush Sr. made when he was in office. So I will disagree with you to the fullest. It will be the total opposite. When corporations get all of what little tax money we give, they increase profits and feel no need to hire more, thats a fact

All I know is I have 3 jobs, and run a small business, so I don't know what cha all talking about there aint no jobs... Hit the freaking pavement with your own 2 feet and make shit happen for yourself instead of whining and bitching that the government should do everything for you...

Take control of your own life, and you wont need government at all... And by the way It was IMPOSSIBLE for bush to ruin the economy in one year, the shit was headed downhill nomatter who stepped in... Go farm some beans or some shit captain... I think youre stuck in st cloud too long...

hey just cuz your pres ruined the economy has nuthin to do where I live so dont take your failures out on me...and you are right about them jobs, they are out there so if you don't have one go get one...I had to look for 3 months up here to wait out a chance to get a decent paying job (I was lucky, up here there are no jobs) but in the cities if you are sayin there aint no jobs you are being picky and lazy.

I seriously have no idea where the farming beans come from kiddo, Im North Minneapolis home grown mr. Crystal! Get out of your suburanite dreamland cuz you are sleeping on the problems of the people of our country. I'm not sayin the gov should bail people out, im sayin they should stop doing things that restrict people from going farther in life...go skateboard or sumthin DUDE

Ummmm Ok I grew up 3 steps from North Minneapolis in Robbinsdale, so i know where u are from and what it is all about so don't make it sound like I haven't seen or been there...

The President didn't ruin the economy. No single man has that much influence. You can blame the economy thing on the Dot Com bust and many other factors, but blaming one single man for it is rediculous.

The farming beans joke was a crack at living in St. Cloud... nothing more...and I live in No Hope, not Crystal, and I don't really enjoy it either...I also used to be huge into skateboarding.. ramp, street whatever but now I'm too old for that so nice try lol.

first of all, bush sr. put the start to the good economy that clinton enjoyed and got credit for

second of all, the government cannot create or eliminate jobs.....i can break it down for you if you want, just say the word

Actually the gov. can create or take away job.WIth intrest rate and tax cuts. There is more money going into the business peoples hand, then people spend more creating jobs.....I did this already so I kept it short...If you need more examples go get an economics book from B Dalton.

it's a zero sum game....if the government cuts taxes to supposedly create jobs, there is less government spending i.e. less jobs created by the government...it just shifts jobs elsewhere

on the other hand, if the government spends more money to create jobs that way....the money comes from taxes (agree?)......therefore the average consumer has less money to spend, and jobs are lost a little bit at a time accross the board depending on where people spend their money

it's a zero sum game....if the government "creates" jobs in one place, they have to take jobs away in another place

get it?

Word up!!! haha

Yeah can agree with you ,but it goes both ways.....

The economy goes in weird cycles.I remember 5 years ago when the Dow was at 9,700 at close and when we closed at 10,000 it actually hit a milestone. Now we are closing at 9,700(or whetever it is right now) and the whole county is fucked....Intresting how that works....Inflation is getting out of contol!!
