I just got back from lunch and it is official that the statue of the lovely dictator Saddam has been pulled down in the city of Baghdad, They say it’s like the Berlin wall coming down, tears of joy and people just smashing the piece of art.

A very cool day. Almost the entire world watched as it came down. The best part was when they were dragging the head around and some guy was ridding on it. But I heard the extreme, left-wing BBC in London would not air it and instead covered some lame ass earthquake.

statue is front page with story, pictures, and video links. Lots of war coverage from many angles, and also covered is other world news such as the recent military massacre of civilians in the DRCongo in their long civil war. or is that "lame ass." Hey, anybody remember How the CIA helped assassinate the DRC's first democratically elected president because he was leaning toward the Soviets? not to hate on America or anything, but as Americans it helps to know these things if you want to understand certain aspects of the world sentiment.

I'm talking about BBC's television station, they did not cover the statue live yesterday and they took a lot of heat for it. I'm guessing that's why it's on their front page today.
